Privacy notice
Last updated July 2026
S. Sian & Co. Inc. respects the privacy of every person who visits this website or contacts our firm. This notice explains, in plain language, how we handle personal information collected through this website.
What we collect through this site
The only information you actively give this website is what you choose to send us through the contact form: your name, email address, phone number if provided, the topic you select, and the contents of your message. Like most websites, this one also receives ordinary technical information automatically — your IP address, browser type, and the page you arrived from — through our hosting provider's server logs and through Google Fonts, which delivers the typefaces used on every page. We do not use advertising trackers, we do not run website analytics, and we do not sell information to anyone.
How contact form submissions are handled
Form submissions are processed by Netlify, the provider that hosts this website. Netlify stores each submission on its servers, which are located outside Canada, and forwards a copy to the firm by email. Because ordinary web forms and email are not fully secure channels, we ask that you do not include confidential financial details — such as social insurance numbers, account numbers, or tax documents — in the contact form. Once we're in touch, we will arrange a secure method for exchanging documents.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and determine whether our firm can assist you
- To communicate with you about services you have requested
We do not use contact form information for marketing, and we do not share it with third parties except as required to operate this website or as required by law.
Client information
Information provided by clients in the course of an engagement is handled under our professional obligations as Chartered Professional Accountants, including the confidentiality requirements of the CPABC Code of Professional Conduct and applicable privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia).
